Trip Description
7 DAYS SELF GUIDED TRIP
Day 1: Arrival in Alozaina. You will find the bike at your hotel and that same day you will have the possibility of taking a circular route through the area to get in touch with the bike and of course to enjoy the surroundings. In the free GPS application that is included in the trip you can choose between 2 routes depending on how much distance you want to travel (one longer and one shorter).
Day 2: Alozaina – El Burgo. From Alozaina we leave on the way to El Burgo, passing through Casarabonela. It is a very panoramic route, with open views that reach (if clear enough) all the way to Malaga. Once we arrive in El Burgo there is the possibility of doing an extra circular ride which will take us from EL Burgo into the National Park area enjoying a cool unpaved path, parallel to the waters of the Turón River, where we can even take a dip.
Day 3: El Burgo – Setenil. From El Burgo we leave “Sierra de las Nieves” and enter the “Serranía de Ronda”. Today the route takes us to Setenil, a picturesque town that stands out for its houses nestled in the rock. The surrounding area that we will enjoy between Cuevas del Becerro and Setenil is particularly idyllic.
Day 4: Setenil – Grazalema. It is time to enter another Natural Park: Grazalema. The regional road that takes us to the town of Grazalema passes through a magical cork oak forest. After having enjoyed a tapa of authentic Payoyo cheese, if you don't mind pedaling on rougher roads, you can lengthen the route and discover a truly idyllic area: the Llanos del Republicano. A pasture land between Grazalema and Villaluenga.
Day 5: Grazalema – Olvera. We leave Grazalema park to return to lower altitude. After the first descent, we will be pedaling next to the Zahara de la Sierra reservoir, with very beautiful views. The route continues to connect with the Olvera Greenway, an exclusive path for cyclists immersed in nature.
Day 6: Olvera – Ronda. Today we are going to enjoy the undulating landscape that characterizes the surroundings of Ronda and that will accompany us all along the way. We will have the possibility of visiting Ronda by bike, reaching some points from where we will enjoy unforgettable views of the city.
Day 7: Ronda – Alozaina. Today we say goodbye to Ronda to return to the place where we started our trip. The first part of the route will take us to El Burgo, this time along one of the most spectacular roads that the region offers, which will take us to “Puerto del Viento” (1,171m) from where we can say goodbye to the Serranía de Ronda.
